A beautiful and dainty set of limpet shell earrings and pendant, perfect for lazy days on the beach.
Consists of a fine silver limpet shell on an 18 inch sterling silver trace chain, with matching studs.
The shells measure approximately 7-8mm across.
These are made from 95% recycled silver and come packaged in a recycled presentation box with a cotton pad. You will also receive a complementary mini polishing cloth and a wildflower seed paper, jewellery care card.
This set was inspired by the shells I see on my regular walks along the Thanet coastline.
I found the shell that these are moulded from when I was walking along Ramsgate beach.
I loved the size and detail of the shell, so I took an impression using Siligum. I then used a compound called silver clay which is recycled pure silver combined with a little binder and water to mould the shells. These were left to dry completely then fired in my kiln, which burnt off the water and binder leaving pure fine silver.
