I designed this for a commission for a customer who wanted a sun in a circular shape. I liked what I made so much I added it to my catalogue and to my shop here on Folksy.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I designed this for a commission in 2013 and made it with the base glass as a sea in green blue colours. This was requested as a different colour version with the base as green fields and hills.
It is a 'picture' of a sun, a sunrise, over fields and hills in a ring.
The picture is framed with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
The sun's rays are made from 7 different colours and textures of red, amber and yellow glass with lots of streaks to denote the rays.
The sun is a bright circle of bright, yellow and the base of the suncatcher is formed from different greens of fields and hills.
This is beautifully bright and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 5.5 inches in diameter and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
