Full description
This gorgeous blue tit model has been sculpted using woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle. A core of white wool sculpted into shape has been covered in coloured woollen fibres to create the markings. He has been created "in flight" with his wings and tail formed from stiffened wet felted fibres. The beak is made from silk clay, the eyes are beaded and the feet are wire wrapped with tape. The blue tit has been mounted using a wooden dowel to a rustic wooden slice. The blue tit is roughly life-sized measuring approximately 16cm from head to tail. The whole ornament stands approximately 24cm tall.
