Designed to match Maddie's hat pattern of the same name, the Soft-Hearted Cowl is a lightweight but cosy accessory, combining single-round stripes in garter stitch with slipped stitches and a small amount of lace. This patterning creates a gorgeously satisfying texture, which swirls around the hat, making it an interesting and intuitive knit.

A light but cosy textured cowl with 4ply-weight yarn from Jamieson & Smith, in colour combinations hand-picked by Maddie.
Soft Hearted is a versatile cowl that is knitted in the round. The pattern combines single-round stripes in garter stitch with slipped stitches and a wee bit of lace to create a gorgeously satisfying texture, which will swirl around your knitting.
This is a kit for the size 1 Soft- Hearted Cowl and uses 2 balls of each colour – you can choose which is one is the main colour and which is the contrast.The pattern includes written and charted instructions and has been professionally tech edited.

4 x 25g of Jamieson & Smith's 2ply Jumper Weight (114m per 25g; 100% Shetland wool)
2 balls in pink (shade FC50 mix)
2 balls in light grey (shade 203)
