Greeting card featuring striking male Bullfinch bird, blank on the inside so can be used for all occasions. 7x5inch size, made from entirely recycled card stock which leaves slight speckling visible in the card. Comes with a Kraft brown envelope, but no cellophane card wrap as I am keen to keep plastic packaging down (plus they are just so fiddly!).
Each order is tied with twine, wrapped in recyclable tissue paper and finally packaged in strong kraft paper - so all materials can be recycled or reused whilst keeping the cards safe in the post.

I originally wanted to design my own Christmas cards, using alternative bird and plant subjects to the traditional ones of robins and mistletoe, whilst also drawing attention to bird species at threat with declining populations.
The bullfinch is such a beautiful, striking bird that I knew very little about before starting this project and is sadly on the Amber list for conservation concern as its population has declined by 36% since 1967. It is slightly larger than a robin, but much more shy in character, despite its bold colours!
