This pretty little glass vase is perfect for a few daffodils and would make a lovely eco-friendly gift.
The soft white vase used to be a bottle containing a 'designer' soft drink. I took advantage of the unusual tapering shape of the bottle by cutting the top off at an angle, before polishing the edges until smooth. Then I sandblasted the bottle creating a design of butterflies playing between long waving blades of grass.

DIMENSIONS: The vase base is 7.5cm (3") in diameter and the vase is 14cm (5.5") tall.
CARE: The frosted finish is permanently etched into the glass and has a protective coating to resist finger marks. I advise gentle handwashing to retain the protective surface coating; do not put this vase in the dishwasher as over time this will dull the surface.
When I started to work with glass I collected bottles to experiment with. Some were far too good a shape and colour to melt down or send to the bottle bank, so my upcycled bottle vases were born. Nowadays I am often far more interested in the shape and colour of any bottle that comes into the house than the contents...
