We came across this old parafin blowtorch and wondered if we could do something with it. After a little though and a lot of hard work and effort, we realised that we were able to upcycle it into a vintage industrial style table lamp by attaching a vintage style light fitting to it and securing it to a wooden plinth for added stability. A lot of time was spent on upcycling this old blowtorch, paying great attention to detail and adding high quality fittings.

Full description
This vintage 1950s brass Monitor No.26 blow torch has been upcycled by hand and given a new lease of life as a desk lamp.
The old blow torch has been cleaned and polished while retaining some of the patina, before being fitted with an antique style light fitting holding a vintage Edison style LED bulb with a double helix spiral filament producing a lovely warm glow.
The vintage Edison style LED bulbs are cooler than the traditional incandescent bulbs as they use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
The lamp has been mounted onto a quality piece of rustic oak with felt feet to protect your surface from scratches, and also been fitted with a vintage braided cable with inline switch and 3 pin plug.
All fittings are genuine British parts, all hand-wired to a high, professional standard and are PAT tested.
This is an original vintage item so there may be some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the lamp.
