Beautiful grey Shetland and silk scarf.
I started by dyeing the fibre then spun it on into a yarn that wanders from a DK to an Aran (as that's just how I spin) on my Ashford spinning wheel. Finally I wove it on my rigid heddle loom.
The waves of cascading colours come from the fractal spin of the yarn, which merges and flows along the length. I can't capture its entire length in one image so I have shown both sides.
Measures 64 inches or 164cm without the fringe and is 9 inches or 23cm wide. Plenty long enough to wrap yourself up and snuggle in as this yarn is soft.
Very cool hand wash and lay flat to dry as pure wool, as this will felt if hot water is used.
