A pair of handmade fused glass stud earrings in a vivid teal green, with a smooth matt finish and sterling silver fittings. The art glass earrings are created from two contrasting layers of hand cut glass; a transparent glass layered over an opaque, which gives a real sense of depth to the satin finish. Stud earrings in matt teal green fused glass with sterling silver fittings, handmade by me in my home studio on the Wirral peninsula, NW England and presented on my signature card. I love the look and feel of natural sea glass so I decided to create my own version. Each piece of glass is fired in my kiln at least twice with each firing taking up to 24 hours (and no, it doesn’t use massive amounts of electricity because the kilns are highly insulated and the longest part of each firing is always the cooling phase – when I’m waiting impatiently to open the kiln that can seem to go on forever!).
