Hand painted and hand crafted Aluminium/sterling silver layered pendant.
This pendant is made with hand dyed/painted aluminium and sterling silver chain.
The pendant is made with 3 layered discs. Each layer has been hand painted. The larger lower disc is a purple with strands of a leaf print. The middle layer is duck egg blue and the top layer is blue, rose and purple print.
All 3 shapes have a gentle curve to them and sit one top of each other.
Size- The width of the lower larger disc is approximately 2.5 cm.
Un-hallmarked sterling silver (All items weigh below the required 7.78g grams necessary for hallmarking).
Inspiration
All my aluminium jewellery is inspired by one thing, my love of colour! I love to find ways of introducing colour into my work especially hand dyed methods. Each sheet of aluminium I print and dye is unique due to the process. Elements of each dyed panel are then selected and incorporated into my designs.
This is part of my new 'water colour' inspired collection. Panels of aluminium are hand painted with a combination of colours. Colours combine and bleed into each other creating a water colour effect. Each panel created is a one off due to this process and then I select areas to use in my jewellery. All pieces are hand crafted in my Cheshire workshop.
