This design was inspired by a trip to Skomer Island, a fantastic sanctuary for puffins and much other wildlife. The island lies just off the coast of Pembrokeshire, not too far from my home in wonderful West Wales.

Full description
This little puffin sits on a rock, with a soft sky of blue diffused with pink and a green sea for a backdrop.
As with all my jewellery it is made and decorated entirely by hand.
After forming my pendants from fine white clay, I imprint my design. When dry, I sand the back and sides of the pendants and round off the edges to ensure they are super smooth. They then have their first firing. Next I paint them using under-glazes and apply a transparent glaze before firing again to earthenware. Being glazed all over they are smooth against the skin whilst retaining the texture of the imprinted design. The result is a pleasantly tactile item.
This is a one-off listing, the pendant in the photographs is the actual one you will receive.
The pendant is about 25mm, about an inch across.
All my jewellery comes in a hand-stamped box.
Matching items are available – if nothing is currently listed just ask! The last picture shows some other puffin items.
The chain shown is silver plated and 18" long with a lobster clasp. I can put the pendant onto a different length chain. If you have any other requirements, such as metal-free, or a different clasp, message me and I'll let you know what I can do.
I can also make to order, so if you would like something similar, but a different colour or shape please get in touch. Or even something completely different!
