Want to protect your hair against any dodgy weather...or perhaps on those days when you want a quick and cute vintage style - then a snood will be perfect for you!

These beautiful snoods are made using a vintage pattern from the 1940's, using the lovely and very on trend for the time Lover's or Solomon's knot - which produces an incredibly pretty lace effect.

I make all my snoods with yarns that are lovely to touch, yet have plenty of texture, meaning they will stay in place and not slide off, as is the case with many snoods, especially nylon types.
Made from a black soft tussah silk-blend yarn that has a two-ply element; one, the natural textured silk and the other a silky rayon with a soft sheen - subtle and beautiful!

Running all around the outer edge, is a drawstring, which will enable you to gather the snood as you please and tie it securely at the top. However, as with all snoods, I recommend securing it with a bobby-pin on each side to keep it in place.

I adore the styles of the 1940's, but I struggled to find a snood that was true vintage in style, well made and beautiful - I wanted a real show stopper, but it wasn't to be found. After a long search, I found some stunning original patterns, that produced fantastic and authentic results - I could imagine ladies sitting on an evening crocheting these lovely pieces for themselves and now I follow on that tradition to bring you these unique pieces.
