Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Shop.
I am an artist based in the West Midlands, UK, focusing mostly on small scale linocut prints and acrylic paintings working in my home studio.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have been exploring other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.
Finally despite Coronavirus my shop is open and I am still posting out orders to customers both in the UK and overseas within my usual timescales. However please be aware that there may be delays in the postal system due to the virus.
Thank you for your interest in my art.
This is an original hand pressed linocut print of Wayland's Smithy, a chambered long barrow not far from the White Horse at Uffington.
It is the 16th in an edition which I will limit to 100 prints. Each print will be made from a single plate in a variety of colours, colour combinations, paper types etc... This print was made in two pressings from a single plate using two coloured inks.
When I have created a maximum of 100 prints from this plate, the plate will be destroyed.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Fabriano Accademia Paper 160gsm.
The print measures approx 4 x 6 inches and the paper size is hand cut to approximately A5.
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will post this print out to you in a board backed envelope. I will provide a small certificate of authenticity and wrap your print in cellophane and tissue paper for added protection while it is in the post.
The print will be mailed using 1st Class Royal Mail Standard Delivery and for items mailed outside the UK I will use Royal Mail's International Standard post which should take 3 to 5 working days within Europe and 5 to 7 working days everywhere else.
For multiple items I will charge full postage on the first item then 20p for each additional item mailed within the same envelope.
Thank you for your interest in my artwork!
It is a crisp winter's day and I am standing at the reconstructed opening into the tomb, the winter trees echoing the shapes of the stones.
