Thank you for visiting my shop on Folksy.
I only ship to the UK at the moment and use Royal Mail.
I love Dala horses!
I've been a bit obsessed with them since childhood (and to be honest anything Scandinavian!), so I've just given this one just a little bit of me!

Wooden oak leaf & acorn Dala horse brooch decorated using pyrography (wood burning).
The design was burnt onto the wood and then hand coloured using watercolour pencils.
Watercolour pencils are used to colour the wood as they still let the natural grain of the wood show through.
Each brooch is unique as I hand draw each design before I burn and they then take on their own personality.
The brooch is finished with 2 coats of Danish oil, which protects the wood without making it too shiny or discoloured.
Dimensions:
Approx 8cm (3in) wide x 8cm (3in) deep
The wood will naturally age over time, but as with most wooden jewellery it is best to try and keep it dry and in a dark, cool place when not being worn.
Brooch will be posted wrapped in tissue paper & in a coin purse (also handmade by me!)
