This one was all about making a sensory vase - feeling wonderful in your hand whilst lifting to savour the delights for the nasal passages of a single rose or lavender sprigs, fragrant herbs, violets, orange blossom and all the delights of fragrance Mother Nature offers in succession throughout the year. The Ash I used, from Brentwood, had been intended for tool handles but wasn't straight so was perfect for something as curvy as this little vase...

Full description
Bud vase turned from beautiful Ash with an undulating grain that I hope I've done justice to in my design. It has a softly curving bulbous belly with a slim silky waist line and is perfect for spring flowers - muscari, snowdrops, miniature daffodils,crocus, primroses, violets & lily of the valley, wild flowers, ferny leaves, grasses, buds, botanicals, buttonholes, corsages, feathers et al. Feels silky smooth to touch and the more it's handled the richer the patina!
It has a glass insert for water to keep your dainty arrangement fresh and looks perfect on a window ledge, glass shelf or as a table decoration. The lovely clean lines of it's shape make it well suited to traditional or contemporary interiors. Buff with a soft cloth or beeswax & buffing for an extra sheen.
This pretty vase is 9.5cm tall, 5cm diameter with glass test tube insert 7.5cm long, 1cm diameter.
