Whilst stuck in a queue of traffic at an interchange, out of the corner of my eye I caught sight of a ray of sunlight being refracted through the dry stems of some hedge parsley.
This acrylic painting was born, catching the shapes of the dry stems and highlighting the spaces between them with a rainbow of colour.
It’s like a stained glass window praising the beauty of light, colour and nature.

Inspired by dried hedge parsley seed heads the vibrant rainbow coloured painting brings a contemporary look to any room.
The brush strokes and mixing of colours are evident in some of the 'panes' to give the impression of stained glass.
