I had just finished making this when I heard on the radio it was Workd Alzheimer’s Day, now that’s a coincidence.
Did you know the Forget Me Not is the flower emblem for Alzheimers? I think it is a fitting symbol.
Each flower measures approx 6cms x 6cms and the overall size of this sucatcher is 21cms x 20cms.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered together before a final wash and polish. The glass used in this suncatcher is a pale sky blue sea glass for the petals and yellow rough rolled glass for the centre. The leaves have been made from a green sea glass. Tinned copper wire has been twisted together to form scrolls have been added for interest and finishing line for hanging purposes.
I will supply one window hook with each suncatcher so you can hang your piece of glass as soon as it is received. Please remember to wet the plunger before you push firmly onto the window.
