Oak bark leather belt made from traditionally oak bark tanned leather from the last tannery of its kind in England. This leather smells and creaks like leather used to. It is full grain bridle leather and so has natural marks on its surface. Full grain bridle means it is as strong as it can be and strong enough to harness a horse. Each belt is cut from a bridle butt as delivered straight from the tannery and hand stitched in saddle stitch using polyester waxed thread. Buckles are solid brass. belts are 38mm wide and 4-5mm thick. waste size to order.Please state your preference to either wedge or traditional English point end to the belt. Please also let me know which of the three buckles you prefer.

I began leather work to only make dog collars and leads for my own dogs. I never intended to get so involved or to eventually have a small but dedicated workshop at home. I went on to make myself and family belts from Bridle leather and came to appreciate the highest quality leathers like Sedgwicks and JFJ Bakers from Devon aswell as newer companies in the uk.
Most of all I wanted what I made to last for years and to age well with character and not be a throw away item.
