Seconds Sunday: Reduced to clear

This blue bee fabric has been very popular in my shop this year and is now a gorgeous Japanese rice bag or gift bag.

The pattern placement will vary from bag to bag to minimise fabric wastage.

The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.

The bag is reversible with a black cotton fabric that enhances the bumble bee print.

This is a larger bag than many of the other Japanese rice bags. It measures 14cm (5.5 inches) in height, width and depth. The bee fabric has been used to create the tabs to hold the blue ribbon ties and the ribbon enclosures.

The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special.

Please note that the accessories are for photographic props only and do not come with the bag.
