Happy January xx

This handspun yarn was a bit too fluffy for a jumper for me, but knitted and lightly felted in hot soapy water has stabilized it and it makes adorable soft slippers. The pattern I use is the Wayfarer Shoe from Twig & Tale, www.twigandtale.com/

Full description

Soft indoor shoes made from my own handspun yarn, knitted and lightly felted. The yarn is Merino wool with a small amount of angora which gives a fluffy halo

The lining is of cotton and there's a commercially produced cotton based non-slip sole with a layer of brushed cotton between. Made from natural fabrics makes these little shoes kind to little feet, eco-friendly and mostly biodegradable... Soft and roomy for growing feet and active toes with elastic around the heel to help keep them on. There are no uncomfortable seams inside.

Made using the Wayfarer shoe pattern from Twig and Tale. www.twigandtale.com

Designed by Jane Cooke on the Isle of Wight
