These beautiful semi-precious turquoise drop beads are of the highest quality, a brilliant opaque blue green colour with very little black matrix, and have been ethically mined in the USA. They hang gracefully within a perfect circle of polished sterling silver in 1.5 mm thick wire, symbolising the idea of Karma and the cycles of the Sun and the Moon. This minimalist geometric design features only silver wire-work handcrafted by me in my West Sussex workshop. My intention in doing so is to create a unique pair of contemporary earrings. Turquoise was much prized in ancient times and interestingly, the ancient Egyptians considered this colour closer to green than blue.

These earrings measure approximately 34 mm or 1 3/8" in length and the final photograph shows them with a 3" long vintage lipstick case to provide a sense of scale.

My earrings are carefully presented in a black card gift box fastened with a bow.
