Like so many of these things the original torch had a metal body and an awful plastic screw thread and therefore failed rather quickly.
I don't like that! so it was time for an upcycle and a rebuild and this is what happened.
All the parts except the basic fixings were reused or leftover from other projects.

A simple but useful tool for all your adventuring in the strange new world.
Using the finest steam compressed energy devises to store potential light and release when needed, this long body illuminator torch is the ideal thing for reading your maps and charts, signalling aid or just finding your smoking jacket at night.
Re-crafted with an outer shell of copper for strength, hand wrapped in leather for comfort and with added protection to the lens this will make a useful addition to your kit. It also has a platted loop for a carabiner or other attachment to your gear.
Every repurposed/upcycled item I make is unique no two items will ever be the same.
Materials that I use may have the odd dent or ding which adds to their history and uniqueness of the finished article, 90% of all my makes are repurposed items with the other 10% being as recyclable as possible.
