Full description

Amethyst was a stone revered by the ancients and it is easy to see why as it is one of the most intensely coloured forms of the mineral quartz. These amethyst drops are banded with alternating lavender and dark grape purple stripes and hang gracefully within a sterling silver circle representing the solar and lunar cycles and the principle of Karma. The shiny tumbled gemstone beads present an array of irregular shapes which contrast with the smooth highly polished sterling silver hoop of 1.5 mm thick wire, presenting a contemporary geometric effect. All of the silverwork, including headpins and ear wires, has been hand made by me at my workshop in West Sussex. These earrings measure approximately 34 mm or 1 3/8" in length and the final photograph shows them with a 3" long vintage lipstick case to provide a sense of scale.

My earrings are carefully presented in a black card gift box fastened with a bow.
