I generally use an outreach Royal mail postal service at the moment which is available on a Wednesday and Friday. Items to Europe, USA and the Rest of the World are sent Royal Mail INTERNATIONAL STANDARD which does not include tracking in the cost.
Its a short walk from my home to the river alongside which, in the summer months, I can watch the Swifts screeching and whirling high above my head with such speed and elegance. I used some very old faded parts of a damaged Victorian patchwork quilt for the background of this piece- blurry colours denoting the speed of flight.

A machine embroidery of the distinctive speedy summer visitor - The Swift. On a background collage of Victorian cotton scraps with added stitched detail. Double mounted with acid free off-white mount card.
