My background is in textile design and my work often uses a combination of more than one technique. In this piece the robin has been lino printed on a piece of vintage 1970's floral fabric. I have then embroidered detail using black thread. I like to upcycle and reuse where possible - the frame has been painted and then distressed before being waxed. The red base colour shows through in places coordinating with the red of the robin breast.

Full description
Small individual lino print of a robin, printed in black and red on a vintage 1970's yellow floral fabric and then machine embroidered. Framed in a shabby chic upcycled frame - white with touches of red showing through the paintwork. Frame has fixings on reverse to allow picture to stand or hang. Glass front.
