Hand-sawn brass moon and star decoration.
Ready for you to hang on your Christmas tree or anywhere else that could do with some golden celestial sparkle. I made them as Christmas decorations but you could keep them up all year round!
These decorations have been made from reclaimed factory-offcut brass sheet, the motif has been hand drawn and transferred to the brass then carefully hand-cut with a piercing saw.
The brass is untreated and polished to a high shine so that it catches the light. Because the brass is natural and hasn't bee laquered, it will gradually age and patinate over time. If you prefer to keep it shiny, it is easy to polish it up with some lemon juice and a soft cloth.
The moon and star hang on a black cotton thread loop, accented with a vintage black glass bead.
Because each item has been made by hand there will be slight differences between each one.
Moon: 4cm x 3cm
Star: 3.5cm x 2.5cm
