Book bunting - O Kocie (The Cat - Polish)
Description
This is a length of bunting made from an old Polish book - O Kocie (The Cat) with stunning illustrations by Halina Gutsche.
There are 12 flags measuring 13.5cm square hung 1cm apart, giving a total length of 240cm (includes 30cm each end for tying). The images hang to the face of the bunting and the story to the back.
The flags are edged in black machine stitching which gives extra strength to the paper and I have used a light cream cotton binding.
The illustrations are original and iconic - this would make a perfect addition to a retro / mid century styled interior.
Inspiration
The pictures in this Polish children's book are wonderful and I was excited to find this little book burried in a charity shop pile. I love the simplicity and bright colours of the illustrations.
