I am a true nature, animal and bird lover. I love to be at one with nature and I love working with wood. I love all the seasons. Tree leaves changing colour and falling from the trees sums up Autumn for me.
This trinket dish has been made from a rafter from a Potting Shed that I took down.

This unique leaf trinket dish has been upcycled from reclaimed wood. It is perfect for a number of uses. It could hold your jewellery, rings or even your spare change. It could be used as an exclusive piece within your home, in your office, or anywhere that your imagination could think of. A perfect present, for Mothers Day, Valentines Day or as a housewarming gift.
The dish is approximately 18 cm in length, approximately 9 cm at its widest point and approximately 4 cm in depth.

I am a firm believer in upcycling using reclaimed wood whenever possible. I often recycle the packaging I send out my items in.
This dish is hand wash only and not suitable for dishwashers.
Recycled wood was cleaned and sanded to enable me to upcycle it. The design was applied to two pieces of wood and cut using a Scroll Saw. The first piece (the top) was cut with the openings, whilst the second piece was cut solid to form the base. The base was glued to the top piece. The ornament was lightly sanded all around to give it a slight round over effect. Felt was then glued to the inside of the dish. It was coated with lacquer to protect and enhance the grain. The lacquer is heat and water resistant.
