This piece is special to me as it basically started this entire business. Walt Disney once said "never forget it was all started by a mouse". Well for us it was all started by a hedgehog!

During one of many long walks in lockdown, my family and I came across a hedgehog in a graveyard. He was lying there with his eyes closed in broad daylight and at first we thought he was dead. However we noticed he was breathing. We scooped him up and took him home.

We took him to our local animal rescue. At this point we had no idea if he was dead or alive so the name Schrödinger sprang to mind (after Schrödinger's Cat).

The rescue looked Schrodie over and treated him for fleas and ticks. It was touch and go for a while but the little guy pulled through and we were allowed to foster him in our garden until he (hopefully) goes into hibernation. This piece was inspired by Schrödinger and he appears in quite a few of our pieces.

He is still doing well and will hopefully hibernate soon.
