Seaglass that is not suitable to use in jewellery makes lovely suncatchers. Using driftwood and unwanted fishing line makes this a lovely up-cycled addition to a garden or as an interior window decoration, catching the light.

Driftwood and seaglass collected from my local beach in Withernsea work together well to make an up-cycled suncatcher to decorate either the garden or an inside window.
The driftwood has been home bleached and the glass washed and rinsed with a little baby oil to make it shine. This includes some shells and sea pottery (pottery that has been in the sea for some time and had the edges smoothed by the action of the sea) to add additional colour and texture.
The glass, shells and sea pottery are attached to unused nylon fishing line and attached to the wood with screw-in eyelets. These are also used to attach the hanging chain.
There are two strands at approx 40cm and one at approx 35cm in length. The glass colours are white/clear, green, and aqua.
This will be sent out suing 2nd class small parcel post.
