This Christmas I am donating over 75% of the sale proceeds to the Crisis Christmas appeal. Crisis is a UK homeless charity. Each Christmas, Crisis opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food and specialist advice. I think it is lovely to decorate your home with seasonal decorations and I like to make timeless pieces that can be brought out year after year and fill your home with memories.
I was inspired to make a decoration that used both Indian block printing and hand embroidery. I love the simplicity of this wreath block print and think that the modern calligraphy embroidery really suits the design.

This charming wreath looks lovely sitting on a shelf or mantelpiece or hanging on a wall and would make a lovely gift to cherish. Over 75% of the sale proceeds will be donated to the homeless charity, Crisis so your purchase will be helping those in need at Christmas.
The beautiful Christmas wreath decoration has been lovingly handmade. First the green wreath design is handprinted onto linen with a wooden Indian block print and fabric paint. Once dried and pressed, the design is then mounted in a wooden hoop and hand embroidered with the word Noel using modern calligraphy style lettering. The wreath is then decorated with red berries which are hand embroidered using French knots. The hoop is then lightly padded and backed with white felt. All this is done by hand stitching without using any glues. Finally the hoop is finished with The Pink Rhubarb Shop label.
The hoop is 16 cm (approx 6 inches) across and comes wrapped in tissue paper and will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 48 hr.
