Rare, bold, artisan necklace. Large pastel coloured focal beads and smaller white glitter beads are each interspersed with a blue round, flat glitter bead. Each bead is separately crafted in polymer clay.
An individual necklace for an individual person. This uncommon statement necklace is ideal for the sort of person who likes to stand out from crowd and turn a few heads.
An ideal gift for that special someone, especially yourself.

Beads are threaded onto 19 strand steel wire thread for strength and flexibility and have a lobster claw clasp
Non fussy packaging. I paste vintage magazines, annuals, books, music sheets, or my own hand painted designs onto reclaimed cardboard packaging.
Why?
A) It's cheap and keeps costs down
B) With so much packaging floating round it's nice to recycle.
C) There's something rather therapeutic in gluing paper onto card.

I've no idea why these beads are called Shibori, but I love making them, even if it is rather time consuming. I just put on a history podcast and I'm away. The larger focal beads are made by pushing different coloured discs of clay through an extruder, then wrapping the strands around a ball of clay. The white beads are made using the same method, only with much thinner strands. To make the flat blue beads I simply rolled out some blue glitter clay and cut them out.
