I thought about giving my dolls names but I think it would be something the recipient would appreciate. But I am thinking along the lines of Maid Marion when I made this one.
Made out of dyed corn husks with a corn husk hat and ornated with ribbon the total doll height is approximately 11 inches and is self supporting. The quiver is also made out of corn husk bound with red hemp and contains 7 removable arrows.
As long as they are kept away from damp envoronments husk dolls can last an awful long time and many are displayed in museums.
