I made this fused glass sperm whale whilst I was listening to Herman Melville's classic Moby Dick story. I got as far as the pulpit chapter, but after three attempts I'd given up - crikey its dry. Anyway, on the bright side that gave me enough time to finish this whale. He has decorating our kitchen, but now its time for him to find a new home!
Moby Dick comes with 2 wire hanging hooks and is approximately 29cm long. If you buy him and one of my giant squid, you can recreate deep sea animal battles in the bath!
Stock Status - This Creature's stock status is: In stock
Moby Dick is currently available.
How it's made - After cutting the various pieces of glass needed I add two hanging hooks and fire the whale on a high heat to fuse the body into a single, smooth piece of glass. Then I add detailing and fuse again at a lower temperature so the final piece retains a 3d effect.
