I have a tiny model of a moon gazing hare on my shelf and was inspired to make a brooch from pewter with a stone to represent the moon. I added a small hare in this version because of the popularity of the children's book "Guess how much I love You" which features a pair of hares like this!....

Handmade silver pewter brooch depicting a large hare and a small hare gazing up at a moon of genuine rainbow moonstone. The moonstone appears quite plain much of the time, but in the right light, you can see a vivid flash of blue. Inspired by the myth of the moon gazing hare combined with the sentiments "I love you to the moon and back" made popular through a well-loved children's book.
The oval brooch measures 45 x 35mm and has a 30mm pin with safety catch on the reverse. It will be sent to you gift wrapped in tissue in an organza bag by first class post for a last minute gift for Easter, a birthday or 10th Wedding Anniversary.
This brooch has been individually made by hand, not cast in a mold. No two of my items are the same, each is unique.
