Item details

It's Spooky season! Until 31st October I am offering 20% off all items in my shop with code SPOOKY20. Thank you for supporting my small business :)

The herbs in this tea have all been chosen for their connection with "spooky season" - or Hallowe'en/Samhain.

All Hallow's eve is the day before All Saint's Day. it is widely believed the date of All Saint's Day was moved in order to assimilate the Pagan celebrations of Samhain -the last of the Pagan fire festivals. The veils between the worlds are thinnest at this time of year, and so traditionally Samhain is a time to contact and honour our ancestors.

Rosebay Willowherb - Also known as fireweed, it is one of the first plants to colonise ground scorched by fire. It speaks to us of life and renewal after death, making it a perfect herb for Samhain.
Star Anise - Enhances psychic ability and protects from evil
Sage - An herb of wisdom and protection
Clove - associated with exorcism and protection from evil
Rosemary - "for remembrance." Connecting us with our ancestors, rosemary has been used in funeral ceremonies for thousands of years.
