One for those folk who like to keep things simple and strike their fire steel with the back of a knife.
Firesteels of this kind are mostly aimed at campers, bushcrafters scouts and army cadets, they are also an essential tool in survival situations and could very well save your life. They are not however limited to these settings, they are equally at home on allotments or in back gardens, of even just for lighting a fire in your fireplace at home.
Simply run the back edge of a knife, or other suitable striker down the steal to create a shower of scorching hot sparks onto dry tinder...fire lighting made easy.
The holder is made from 3.5mm natural veg tan leather and holds an 80x8mm firesteel set into a hardwood handle which is made from hardwoods that i harvest myself and turned on a lathe.
Supplied with a paracord lanyard so the user has a choice of wearing it around the neck, or on a belt.
