The stone pattern is the oldest of the marbling patterns, examples exist dating back to the mid 15th century in Turkey.
Named for the resemblance to stone (particularly veined marble, where the term marbling comes from) this pattern is the first to be made before manipulating the paint to create other patterns.
This sheet has a Spanish ripple effect which gives a great 3d look to a flat piece of paper. Difficult to execute, it was supposedly invented by a spanish apprentice who had over indulged the night before. His shaking hands imparted a rippled effect which was asked to perfect when his master loved it.

A green lovers dream! Zingy lime green spots on sap green, green grey and deep blue green veins. Finished with the lovely 3d effect from a Spanish ripple.
This lovely marbled paper sheet is listed as a slight second. There are a couple of areas of slight paint granulation (see photos).
Marbled onto 140gsm FSC white base paper from recycled coffee cups(please see my about section for more details on the papers). The sheet is A4 approx 208mm x 298mm, short grain.
This beautiful sheet is a one of a kind piece suitable for using in bookbinding, covering boxes and other items, die cutting, journaling and card making. Customers have turned my papers into beautiful books, amazing paper cuts, stunning flowers and even lino printed on them too!
Every one of the sheets I sell are created by me from start to finish and in most cases are one of a kind.
It will be sent flat in a card backed envelope.
Although I have strived for colour accuracy, please be aware that there may be colour differences due to the way monitors display colours.
