Like so many of us, I have paid attention to the Black Lives Matter movement and been moved by how far we have to go before our society is built on equality. In this piece I am celebrating the bravery of Rosa Banks.

This little piece celebrates the civil rights movement's first lady, Rosa Banks.
This portrait is painted onto glass and fired in the kiln and the panel is made using traditional leading techniques.
The portrait is from the 'mug shots' of when Rosa was arrested for sitting in the white area on a segregated bus in the USA.
The surrounding glass is pale green and red streaky glass. Looks great hanging in a sunny window
