The construction of this shape hat lends itself to differing colour brim and crown.
One of the joys of felt making is never quite knowing how colours will blend and tone. In this case, the colour choices were determined by the gorgeous wool yarn that decorates the brim.

Full description
A breton style hat with curved brim. A dark duck egg crown, blended with lighter duck egg highlights, embellished with toning hand dyed silks on the brim.
This is one of my designs from the 'Squashable' range. So called because the design of the hat ensures it retains its shape even after squashing! Fabulous when you are shopping - just fold the hat and pop it in your bag.
(Yes, wear it in the rain and snow. No, it won't shrink in the rain. Just dry it in shape after it gets wet.)
The shape of the curved brim allows you to wear it in several ways. Play with the brim to get different looks.
As with all my hats, the fit is adjustable. There is an inner drawstring threaded into the felt itself - pull the tab to your size and wrap it around the button to secure. This means that this hat will fit most heads - from approx 54 - 59 cm (approx 21-23 inches)
The flower is attached to the hat with a hat pin, so it's position can be changed, or removed and used as a lapel pin.
I make all my hats by hand, turning unspun merino wool into a strong felt using traditional wet felting methods.
