General Cornelius Crownhead is a resplendent turned and carved wooden soldier with a colourful red uniform, black helmet with gold spike and jointed arms that can hold a flag and a sword. He has the mechanism to be a nutcracker, but easier methods are recommended.

His structure is robust but he is not designed as a toy.

His height is 17.5cm and his width 11.5cm

He is mounted on a turned polished oak plinth.

He would make an excellent talking point in a living room or office desk.

His connection with the Hoffman story of the Soldier and the Mouse King which was made into a ballet with music by Tchaikovsky, make him a suitable Christmas decoration.

He has a character that will become a well loved part of a home scene.

He can be adapted to carry the flag of the Nation you please. He has the English flag at present

He would make an interesting unique Christmas gift for a gentleman who likes a desk ornament.

Fred made a soldier as a Christmas gift for our son, about 40 years ago. It has stood on our mantle piece ever since. Lately he decided to make some more as he loves to turn wood and carve.

He delegated the painting to Ann who thoroughly enjoyed the task and has become quite attached to the results.
