Item details

A set of two little porcelain wrens, just over 4cm high. I have left these birds left unglazed, to make the most of the perfect white of porcelain, with a slight sheen to the surface.

Ideal as a present for a bird lover or a gardener, they make a great addition to seasonal decorations. Display them with flowers or foliage collected from the garden or as a table decoration with candles for a special meal. They also make very pretty paperweights.

As a pair, they could be a sweet anniversary gift.

Made by hand in my garden studio in Sheffield.

I am keen to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible, and I try to recycle and reuse packaging but not at the expense of safe travel.

I've made a lot of wrens, in a lot of different clays - the finish on porcelain is such a special thing, the pure white colour and the slight sheen. Lovely. But I would say that wouldn't I?

These are smaller than the usual wren I produce, it seemed to go with the set idea, but look - if you are clever buy a set and its two stocking fillers, two small gifts or (my favorite) a one for you and one for me kind of gift. How can you say no to that suggestion?
