This antique heat lamp was once used for many medicinal purposes this early 20th century and I decided it would now make a fantastic quirky desk lamp. The vintage heat lamp was stripped and painstakingly cleaned and polished before being completely rewired and new vintage style lamp fittings fitted. To finish it off I add a vintage style bulb cage encasing an Edison globe light bulb with a spiral filament giving off a lovely warm glow.

Traditionally used for many medicinal purposes this early 20th century British made cast iron and copper heat lamp from the 1930's has been beautifully upcycled by hand into a stylish vintage desk lamp.
The antique heat lamp has an adjustable copper shade with a hammered finish and is attached to a heavy cast iron base with slightly raised cast feet. The lamp has been painstakingly stripped, cleaned and polished while keeping some of the vintage patina, and has been completely rewired with a new antique style light fitting and bulb cage. This gorgeous vintage lamp also comes with a vintage Edison style LED globe light bulb with a spiral filament giving off a lovely warm vintage glow.
These high quality LED light bulbs use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
The lamp has a height of 30cm. It is also fitted with a vintage style brown braided flex cable with an inline switch, and a 3amp British plug. All fittings are genuine British parts, all hand-wired to a high, professional standard.
This heat lamp is an antique so there is some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the lamp.
All electrical parts are new, and work has been carried out to a professional standard and have been PAT tested.
