I enjoy drawing buildings and landscapes, these end up being ones I walk past often enough in Leeds that I end up appreciating certain qualities about them.

Full description

This is a reproduction of a drawing of New Briggate, a street in Leeds City Centre. Housing fried chicken shops, tattoo parlours, pawn shops, barbers and other common business that you often find on the edge of city centres. It has that combination of being a once grand Victorian street, but now having gone through lots of changes and times has a less grand aire to it. Always busy, often noisy, full of workers, shoppers, drinkers and anyone else waiting for their bus home.

The size of the original drawing is about 64x25cm, done by myself, Leeds based illustrator Simon Lewis, in 2020.

Printed on A3 smooth cotton white 315gsm paper. The print is sold unframed in a board backed cellophane bag.

All prints are signed by the artist. Copyright of the image remains to the artist Simon Lewis
