I liked the idea of combining copper and silver. I had seen other fine pieces which had successfully combined the two metals and so I thought I would design a couple of pieces, just to see what was possible.

Silver and Copper not only have two different sintering temperatures, they also have two vastly different kiln firing processes. Silver is quite simple in that once it is ready to be fired, you pop it in the kiln and fire it for between 10 mins to 45 mins. With Copper, it needs to first be kiln fired at a low temp for half and hour on the kiln shelf, then it has to be moved into a kiln safe box with activated coconut charcoal to be refired at a far higher temperature for a few hours.

Once both metals fired seperately the bracelet could be assembled, after the burnishing, polishing and turmbling.
