A silver wire cross, with a halo, is mounted on a blue shell disc and hung on a silver chain. The cross is some 500 mm long and the disc 250 mm diameter.The silver bobble chain is 400 mm long.

The halo gives the idea of a possible presence of Christ, which can be felt when handling the cross. So it may be worn and meditated on either when worn, when merely held in the hand or just viewed.

Also the cross is irregular to depict suffering!

There are several versions of this without the blue disc, which you may prefer.

This is perfect as a gift for some religious occasion, though not suitable for a young child, as the wire can easily be untangled.

Sight loss inspired me to hone my wire art and gemstone skills for your delight!

One day I began twisting wire in the shape of a cross. I finished it and was about to cut if a piece of wire extending from the centre. I tried to curve the wire into a circle. This seemed to me to show there was a presence of Christ and felt this turned it into a cross for meditation. I have made many of these crosses and they are hugely popular!

They need to be handled with care!
