Handmade 100% cotton triple layer face covering mask with tie straps.
With the new regulations for face coverings coming into force, demand will be high for face coverings. To avoid taking essential medical supplies away from the front line, I've made these for myself, family and friends and they have stood up well to user testing.
They also fit with the Fine Fettle philosophy:
REUSE: the mask is 100% cotton, including the straps, meaning it can be fully sterilised and will stand up to regular use and result in minimal waste.
RETHINK: the face covering mask is a triple layer, meaning it has a front, back and a pouch to insert an optional filter (can be bought separately) and has cotton tie straps rather than elastic. The straps can be tied behind the head to secure the mask in place, avoiding the ears to prevent painful rubbing.
REFORM: the face covering masks are made from off cuts of material transformed into a useful purpose. At the end of their useful life as a face covering, they are fully compostable.
Measurements: 21cm x 12cm (extendable depth to 17cm) plus straps extend approximately 40cms to each side of the mask
The price of these masks is kept low to cover the cost of the materials, enabling everyone who needs one to buy one. There are many available on the market from a variety of sellers. Pick the one that is right for you.
