Full description
I recently had a trip to Brighton and visiting my favourite little shop in The Lanes is a must. This time I came home with three little metal octopus for my downstairs loo which gave me the idea to make some in glass.
This suncatcher has been made by hand. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, washed and foiled then soldered together before being washed and polished. The tentacles have been made from tinned twisted wire and the eyes from black glass nuggets - the pupils have been painted on with nail varnish.
The glass used is a teal irridised ripple back glass which has a petrol stain effect on the glass when looked at from different angles
The suncatcher measures 17.5cms x 22cms.
This would make a great gift for anyone interested in the sea and sea life. Would look lovely in a bathroom or sea life bedroom.
I will supply a window hook with each suncatcher so you can hang it as soon as received.
