I'm incorporating environmentally friendly practices into my work includes the use of superior synthetic gemstones such as these Lab Opals.
A lab gemstone is a stone 'grown' in a lab rather than the earth. They have the same geological makeup as genuine stones but none of the faults. This means they have amazing clarity and colour, but at a much lower price point than the authentic stones.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
A shimmery White Lab Opal carefully set by hand onto a band of Sterling Silver. The stone is a round cabochon cut measuring 5mm, white in colour with lots of flash - the term given to the colour sparkle an opal produces that makes them so special. The ring is simple in design on a fully round band 1.5mm diameter. The setting has a zig zag edge which gives it a nice detail.
Lab gemstones are stones which are grown artificially but share the same characteristics of the natural gem. As they are grown in near perfect environments, they are more stable with little flaws and a great colour. Lab Opals are made with slivers of opal bonded together over layers to give them a very unique depth and sparkle.
