The latest addition to our Rainbow Suncatchers range has grown somewhat!
This Fused Glass Beauty is approximately 17 cm long plus the 18 cm cord from which it hangs.
It's made from 8 pieces of hand-cut glass: a 2.5 cm square of each colour of the rainbow topped off with a piece of clear glass. The pieces are assembled in the kiln and treated to a controlled program of heating and cooling, reaching around 800 C and taking 12 hours to cool back to room temperature.
Once cooled we drill a hole in the top and fit a jump ring and the faux leather cord.
If you hang this piece in the garden it will catch the sun at every opportunity and look lovely. Hanging in a window inside your home it's likely to cast rainbow colours whenever the sun shines through.
Please note that as our items are hand-made, all measurements are approximate and you'll never find two of our items are exactly the same.
